On Sunday, 20 February, the creme de la creme of Nigeria’s music, movie, fashion and media sectors converged on The Marquee at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, for the launch of the Mania magazine, dubbed the biggest party so far.
A new fashion and lifestyle publication by Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Dimeji Alara and a team of other innovative creative minds, the magazine was launched with a guest list that included fashionistas, designers, socialites and industry professionals across the generations.
It was indeed a festival of style and class as everyone was out to celebrate with Kelechi Amadi-Obi, who over the decades, has contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Nigerian fashion industry.
The publisher disclosed that the purpose of the magazine is to create satisfaction and close the vaccum left by other style journals.
The launch, compered by IK Osakioduwa and Michelle Dede, saw brilliant performance by the likes of Ekeng, Bez, Yinka Davies, MI and Banky W.
Meanwhile, the bi-monthly publication features Nigerian entrepreneur and socialite, Modupe Ozolua, among others beautiful columns.
Modupe emerged on the Nigerian scene when she introduced cosmetic surgery services and over the years, her business has evolved, while she presently owns and operates a spa as well as does non-profit work via her BEARS Foundation which arranges free reconstructive surgery for children with deformities.
