Coach of two time-African champions, Enyimba Football Club of Aba, Okey Emordi, says fans and supporters of the club are yet to see the best of the team.
Enyimba put up a stellar performance in a 3-0 romp against Kwara United in a rescheduled Nigeria Premier League, NPL, match played in Aba on Wednesday.
“If we continue like this, we will have a great chance of achieving a lot before the end of the season. We played excellently and I can assure the fans that the best of Enyimba is yet to come,â€Emordi told SuperSport.com.
The champions made a happy return to Aba after consecutive heart-warming domestic and continental road victories against Crown FC and St. Michel d’Ouenze of Congo respectively.
Enyimba’s speed and quick-passing game astounded the visitors as the Peoples Elephants went on to record their biggest win of the season and ensure Kadiri Ikhana’s return to his former club ended in agony.
Goal heroes, Barnabas and Sakibu, were constant threats and there was little the visitors could do to stop their darting runs around the box.
Victor Barnabas opened the scoring on 8 minutes with a stunning strike, while man of the moment, Sakibu, made it two with a straight forward effort shortly after the restart.
Barnabas completed his brace in stoppage time as Enyimba moved up to 7th on the NPL log with 22 points from 14 matches.
