A chieftain of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Lagos Mainland Local Government Area, Mr. Kayode K. Omolaja has indicated his decision to quit the Mainland Voice, a political group in the area.
In a letter he addressed to members of the group, Omolaja expressed dissatisfaction with the way he was treated at the last meeting of the group, adding that it was clear to him that he was no longer wanted in the group.
Omolaja who promised to work for all candidates of the party and ensure their success in the April polls, berated leaders of the group for their insincerity in advancing the cause of members.
He said his effort to clinch the party’s ticket for the House of Representatives in the area was thwarted by lack of transparency and fairness by the leadership of the group.
He contended that various insinuations made against his decision to contest the ACN ticket were false because he genuinely wanted to represent the people of Mainland in the lower chambers of the National Assembly.
He explained further that he was pulling out of the group because of recent happenings which show that he was no longer needed and wished members well in all their endeavours.
