Plateau United coach Ndubuisi Nduka insists the club will climb out of the Premier League relegation zone if they continue to show the same spirit which almost saw them past Kwara United.

The Jos-based side earned an important draw at Kwara United to record their first draw since match day two when they shared the spoils at Ocean Boys.

“This result has brought us up and we expect more improvement as the season progresses. The players have suffered from psychological problems because we play well only to lose.

“We have played well virtually in all our matches, but the results have not been commensurate with the efforts,” he told SuperSport.com

Nduka threw substitutes Tochukwu Esson, Stanley Dimgba and Kelly Paul into the fray at a time the hosts were a goal up and their inclusion added more life to his side’s push for goal.

The former Dolphins assistant coach commended the substitutes for executing their roles properly.

“That’s part of our match plan. They were given specific instructions and I thank God they were able to do just that,” Nduka said.

“Everybody can see we play good football. From now onwards, we’ll continue to match forward,” he added.

George Akpabio became Plateau United’s match day hero when he equalised with nine minutes left to play.
