As the voter registration ahead of 2011 general elections comes to an end tomorrow, Saturday, 5 February, 2011, Lagos-based fuji musician, who is the immediate past Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Fuji Musicians Association of Nigeria (FUMAN), Kareem Ayinde Olomide a.k.a. Kabiyesi, has urged members of the association to go out and register.
The singer cum businessman who is highly respected among his contemporaries, said “it is necessary for FUMAN members to go out and register so that they will be able to cast their votes in the general elections in April this year and also afford them the opportunity to choose their own leaders.â€
He also advised members and the public in general not to be used to foment trouble by selfish and destructive politicians, either during and after the campaigns and the elections.
