Members of the Nigeria Rowing, Canoe & Sailing Federation are planning to attend the 5th annual convention scheduled to hold from 16 to 19 in Rabat, Morocco.
The convention was put together by the Africa International Sports Convention, CISA.
Those that will attend the programme are president of the association, Rear Admiral Festus Porbeni, the secretary, Mr Victor Anusa and a board member, Mr Ebenezer Ukwuuna.
Anusa told P.M.Sports that the convention will not only help the federation to interact with other countries, but will also give them an opportunity to seek for an assistance from international bodies.
“We are going to benefit a lot from the convention, the president will be able to talk to some international bodies for sports assistance that will benefit our federation,†he said.
Meanwhile, Nigeria will not take part in the 19th Qatar International Regatta Championship, which will hold from 15 to19 in Doha.
Anusa said the federation cannot raise enough fund to prepare the athletes for the championship.
