The Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, RTEAN, Mr. Adefowope Olorode, has called on members of the union to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise at their various destinations.
Speaking with Lagos Bulletin at the state headquarters, Olorode urged members of the union to register in order exercise their fundamental right of voting in the April general elections.
He thanked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for extending the exercise by one week to enable all eligible voters register.
The RTEAN boss commended Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola for his initiative on transportation that has transformed the sector in his two and half years in office.
While enjoining members to be security conscious while driving, they should cooporate with government by paying their taxes regularly.
