Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN) on Saturday commended the dedication and commitment to duty exhibited by members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployed round the State to conduct the voters’ registration exercise which entered its fifteenth day today.
Governor Fashola who spoke in Epe in continuation of his strategic assessment of the voters’ registration exercise round the State said he is very proud of the Corps members for their performance.
The Governor interacted with many residents and youths in the area who trooped out to receive him at each of the registration points and urged those who have not registered amongst them to do so as the exercise continues on Sunday following the one-week extension by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Governor Fashola also interacted with the officials of INEC at each of the points urging them to continue to register members of the public as they come forward in a peaceful and orderly manner.
He also listened and took notes of complaints about some inadequacies at some registration points in the town from the residents, promising that all noticeable areas of complaints and technical problems would be brought to the attention of INEC as the exercise progresses.
