An independent campaign organisation for the second term of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola has been formed in Lagos State to sensitise Lagos residents on the need to have the governor back in office in April.
The organisation, Babatunde Raji Fashola For Governor Again, BAFOGA, after the formation, elected some executive members to steer its ship for the next two years with a mandate to ensure an effective campaign that would guarantee Fashola’s smooth sail into office again.
Some of the officers elected include Rasaq Oloko-Oba as President, Sai`d Adegboyega, Secretary, Dare Babatunde Aladekola, Public Relations Officer, and Adekunle Adeosun as Director of Mobilisation.
Oloko-Oba said: “Our major responsibility is to mobilize the good people of the state to vote for this performing governor with a view to ensuring his second term in office.”
According to him, it would amount to a disaster if the dividends of democracy were allowed to slip off due to over-confidence.
The group urged the people in the state not to relent in their efforts to ensure that they get registered.
