The owner of a trailer that was involved in a fatal accident at Ketu, Lagos State in August, 2010, Augustine Udeogwu, 37 and the driver of the vehicle, Attah Patrick, 38, have been docked at an Ogudu Magistrate’s Court in Lagos State for manslaughter.
The trailer with registration number XQ 384 FST was involved in an accident which led to the death of two persons, Olabisi Bosede and Fatai Amin.
The trailer also crushed a Nissan Maxima with registration number FN 217 LSK, belonging to Dare Agbede and a taxi with registration number CV 41 LSD belonging to Gbolade Ifesile.
When the charges were read to the defendants, they pleaded not guilty and the trial magistrate, Aje Afunwa, admitted them on bail before adjourning the case till 31 January, 2011.
