Hon. Ayoola Ahmed of the Lagos State House of Assembly has described those who claim  he has abandoned the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) as mischief makers.

He said he had never thought of leaving the party that gave him the opportunity to  become a lawmaker despite having issues with his return ticket to the House in the  forthcoming elections.

Speaking on the insinuation that he had decamped to another party to fulfil his  coming back, the lawmaker who spoke with reporters at the Assembly, said though he  felt bad on learning that the seat was given to his colleague in the House, “the  situation is uncalled for; the party is comfortable in my constituency. If we have  to go through any election, I’m sure I will deliver nothing less than 90 per cent of  the votes.

“I have no reason to leave the party. ACN is a party I believe so much in and I am a  party man to the core who believes in the party’s philosophy. Come rain; come shine,  I will remain a member.

“My party is a party with men of repute and integrity and my leaders will not stoop  so low to do such a thing, I believe that what happened in the primaries was an  error and it will be corrected at the appropriate time,” said Ahmed.
