Tomorrow, the FSV in Lagos, Nigeria, would be joining the stable of Hyra Motors following the success trail blazed by its fore-runners, Grandeur, Splendor and the FRV – executive sedans which have gone a long way in boosting the image of Brilliance as a Chinese manufacturer of cars.
Mr. Seyi Oyinlola, Managing Director, Hyra Motors Limited, told newsmen he was pleased with the growing patronage for Brilliance vehicles, and the new perception of the brand. He said contrary to the perception in the past, patrons now believe the brand can offer value for money.
“Our focus this year is to offer Nigerians affordable cars, because people are looking for cheaper cars due to loss of income. With Brilliance FSV, you have a model that can rival competition.
“At least the closest to this model in terms of pricing would be at least N200,000 up. That is why you have the most affordable and valued quality cars at Hyra Motors,†he said.
Powered by an engine built with Mitsubishi technology and available in both manual and automatic transmission gearboxes and 1.5 litre engines, FSV has safety features which can inspire peace of mind in the driver and other occupants.
There is an airbag each for the driver and front seat passenger as well as two side airbags for both. ABS (anti-lock brake system) with LBD enhances braking even on slippery surprises. This explains why the car’s safety is said to dovetail into the European C-NCAP four-star standards.
“There won’t be any problem with spare parts availability and maintenance, as everything has been put in place to ensure that customers get them at our service centres in many parts of the countryâ€.
One of the car’s major selling points, aside the attractive poise, is the fine finish of the interior, particularly the console/dashboard area and its roominess.
The Chinese made vehicle which is positioned as a premium brand will be competing with established models from Japan, Korea, Europe and America.
