Group Prays For Peaceful Election

The immediate past  Lagos State Waste Management Authority Multipurpose Cooperative  Society, Comrade Sunday Balogun has urged Nigerians to pray for a successful conduct  of the next general election this year.

Balogun stated this at the annual general meeting of the group held in Lagos State,  southwest Nigeria.

He said, “it is our responsibility to ensure that this year’s election is a success  and therefore, we should pray hard.”

While inaugurating the newly elected officers to manage the affairs of the  association, he urged them to continue where he stopped and build the association to  greater heights.

He expressed gratitude to the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed  Tinubu and the incumbent governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, for assisting the  cooperative during their administration.

“Tinubu initiated the allocation of land to our members by giving us allocation  letter while Fashola completed it by giving us Certificate of Occupancy,” he stated.

He also thanked Engr. Daramola, Land Committee chairman who worked hard to ensure  that the association progressed.

The association recently conducted its election where a new executive was  inaugurated. Those elected included Alhaja Faosat Adewale, President; Mr. Raji  Yekini, Vice President; Akeeb Dada, Secretary; James Sodiq, Treasurer; Adetunde  Akande, Auditor; Rabiu Durojaiye, PRO and others.
