The Lagos State chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Otunba Henry Ajomale has called on the public to come out en masse and participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise.
ACN chairman urged indigenes to register to enable them exercise their fundamental right of voting in the April general elections.
Otunba Ajomale reminded the general public of the importance of exercising their right to choose leaders of their choice, noting that the right to vote was sacrosanct.
He said the ongoing political development in Nigeria, in which political parties were involved in primaries to elect their flag bearers, was indicative of the preparedness of the political actors across the country to guarantee a smooth transition programme.
The Lagos State ACN boss described the process as a welcome development which gives the citizens the desired hope of raising credible leaders who would bring dividends of democracy to their doorsteps. He noted that the process was only realizable when people who are of voting age participate in the voter registration exercise.
Meanwhile, in order to ensure a successful election in the country, the ACN boss said that the current exercise should be accorded full support by all.
He also called on all the aspirants who lost in the primaries to accept it in good faith because there is always another time, as long as one lives.
