Gospel music in Nigeria witnessed the arrival of another masterpiece as Tim Godfrey and the Xtreme Crew met the expectations of their fans and friends, when they hosted all to their album listening party at a highbrow hang-out on the Victoria Island.
Celebrities like Stella Damasus, Jedi and CD John were in attendance to add colour to the party.
The high point of the party was the performance by the host, Tim Godfrey and the Xtreme Crew. The young and talented gospel group entertained the audience with the performance of some of their tracks like Obuliwom and Onyedikagi. To further delight the audience, the group gave out free copies of their CDs.
“We have been working on this album for a while and now that we are done we want to unveil the result to our friends, family and the media. We also want people to come and have fun digging it and moving their bodies to our songs,†Godfrey said.
The band has performed alongside top singers like Sammie Okposo, Sunny Nneji and Folake Umusen.
The group was at the KORA awards in 2005 in South Africa. They also toured five USÂ states in June 2006.
