Police Arraign 2 Okada Thieves

Two men, Comrade John, 35 and Pascal Guci, 30, have been arraigned before the Ojokoro Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, for allegedly stealing two Bajaj motorcycles at Obawole, Iju in the Ikeja magisterial district, Lagos.

The prosecutor, Sergeant Thomas Bello, in the two-count charge said the duo conspired to steal two Bajaj motorcycles valued at N202,0000, belonging to Mr. Busari Ismaila, an offence punishable under sections 516 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Code, Cap.17, Vol. 11, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003.

When the charge was read to them, they pleaded not guilty and the magistrate, Mr. Ogundare granted them bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties.

Ogundare ordered that the sureties must be verified and must provide evidence of residing in Lagos and payment of tax to the Lagos State Government.

The case has been adjourned till February 28, for trial.
