Bukola Babes Head Coach, Festus Allen, has revealed his modest side can make an ambitious push for the Nigeria Premier League title.

Allen said after Sunday’s 2-0 win against  struggling Crown that his team have proved that their impressive performance in the elite class is no fluke.

“We have proved to the world that this team are good. I feel highly elated. The victory is one mission accomplished,” Allen told SuperSport.com.

Defunct Leventis United and New Nigerian Bank came from the lower division to win the old division one league, but no rookie side have won the title since the introduction of the Premier League.

“We want to stabilise our stay in the Premier League. There was nothing special about our 3-0 victory over Kwara United because we’ve beaten other top sides in the league.

“We have beaten famous clubs like Enyimba, Enugu Rangers, Warri Wolves and Gombe United. So the performance against Crown has justfied our results so far. This victory would stabilise our first draw at home against Zamfara United,” he added.
