The chairman of Orile Agege Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Hon. Taofeek Adaranijo, has denied involvement in protests against the leadership of the state chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, over the party’s primaries.

Speaking with journalists in Agege yesterday, Adaranijo said he is a party man to the core who will always abide by the decision of the party. “Because I know such decisions are always taken in the interest of the party and its members,” he said.

According to Adaranijo, those protecting against the outcome of the primaries have benefited from similar decisions in the past. “People are protesting because they lost out. That is the nature of politicians. When they benefited from such decisions in the past, they neither protested nor complained. If it does not favour them now, it will surely favour them in future,” he said.

The Orile Agege council boss stated that post primary election crisis is not limited to ACN alone, as other political parties have recorded the same. “We will definitely come out of this stronger and more united. ACN is the emerging political power hence the eagerness to join the party. We are growing and people love us because they know we have their interest at heart,” he said.

He restated his unflinching support for all the party’s candidates in the coming election, especially those in Agege and Lagos State.
