The Obama Cup has suffered a lot of credbility blacklash and there were fears that the competition could be a scam, but in quick response, the US Soccer Federation revealed that they have indeed given the organisers of the tournament the go-ahead to stage the competition. The tourney is being organised to celebrate the past and present presidents of the United States.

Meanwhile, Eagles’ Assistant Coach, Simon Kalika, has said that Head Coach Samson Siasia is planning to introduce a new pattern of play to the team to make the senior squad a delight to soccer fans.

Kalika revealed that Siasia wants to use the Guatemala friendly to introduce the new pattern of play to the players and also fraternize with them.

He noted that Siasia plans to introduce an offensive style of play that would be more productive, a style which the Eagles are used to in the past.
