A member of the ‘Man ‘O’ War’, Mr. Adebunmi Makinde, has dragged his wife, Mrs. Omowunmi Makinde, before the Alimosho Customary Court in Alimosho Local Government, Lagos seeking the dissolution of the marriage.
He claimed to have met her in Egbeda in 2005 and got married to her in 2006. The marriage is blessed with two kids, Omoshade Makinde, 4 and Oluwatosin Makinde, 9-months.
The petitioner accused his wife of being too quarrelsome and always fighting him in public.
He told the court that there is no more love between them and that the marriage should be annuled, adding that he was ready to take custody of the two kids.
The respondent, Mrs. Omowunmi Makinde, who resides at 35, Iwagwe Street, Pako Bus Stop, Ipaja, denied the allegations and accused her usband of being a drunk who comes home late every night drunk.
“He does not put down feeding allowance and always come back late in the night drunk,” she disclosed.
She pleaded with the court not to annul the marriage because she still loves her husband. She also apologised to her husband in court for everything she was accused of but the man insisted that the marriage must be dissolved.
