The Awori Youths of Lagos State, under the auspices of Egun Awori, have said that they are being marginalized in the state’s politics.
The youths, who had embarked on a peaceful protest since last week, reiterated that the ruling party in Lagos should be more accommodating so that there will be peaceful co-existence.
According to the spokesperson of the youths, Babatunde Alaran, “the Awori Youth in Ikeja have cried out to Governor Fashola and concerned people of Lagos State that until we are considered for elective positions, we would not rest on our oars.â€
Alaran argued that “we have come a long way and have suffered enough to be given a chance. Unlike before, we are now educated people, so the government should consider us.â€
