Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi the governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, has commissioned ultra-modern secure printing facility owned by Superflux International Limited, an accredited security printing company.
Ms Evelyn Oputu the Managing Director, Bank of Industry, was the special guest of honour.
The chief executive officer of the company, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi said in his address that the history of the company, how it started, its existence in 1998 in a friend’s lunch room with a two-man team has morphed into a firm with over 200 employees in its own custom built facility.
He added that the facility is also one of the accredited security printing companies in Nigeria.
Talabi also disclosed how they have being fighting doggedly to challenge the status quo and never allow stereotypes to limit their sense of expression, even though it requires to be systematically addressed by all stakeholders.
According to him, “Our determination is to let you see that undertaking cheque personalization in-house is inefficient and commands no additional comfort to out-source under our shared services scheme.â€
“Although our mission and vision is to be known for being the backbone for transaction processing for financial institutions, we are being faced with the challenges of people not believing that something good can come out at any local system and inadequate infrastructure,†he stressed.
The CEO implored the Federal Government to hasten the local inspection otherwise good local print manufacturing concerns will be sidelined by other factors aside the ability to perform.
