The traditional ruler of Ibafon community in Ajeromi Ifelodun local government area of Lagos State, Chief Kayode Okunnola, JP, has expressed satisfaction over the recent endorsement of the state governor Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, by ex-governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and party leaders in the state’s Action Congress of Nigeria for the 2011 general elections.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS recently, Okunola said Fashola has contributed a lot to the development and growth of Lagos State, and as such he deserves the endorsement so that the developments he has embarked upon would be completed to make Lagos a better place for all.
He thanked Asiwaju Tinubu, for playing a vital role in the emergence of Fashola as his successor in office, while urging him to continue to support the governor as well as see himself as an elder statesman who still had important roles to play in the socioe-conomic development of Lagos State.
The traditional ruler gave kudos to Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, the Council of Obas, white cap chiefs for their moral support for the governor and development of the state.
While enjoining Lagosians to continue to give the maximum cooperation and pay their taxes promptly.
