Most motoring journalists who drove the Volkswagen Passat CC when it arrived Nigeria through Stallion Autos, agreed the machines were significant.

Part of the verdict in the test drive report was this: No doubt, Passat CC is capable of sending jitters down the spine of its rivals. Indeed the Passat CC that is hitting Nigerian roads now might turn to Volkswagen’s most significant brand in future.

That report was published about six months ago. This month the prophecy was fulfilled. Volkswagen Group, has announced that it sent out seven million  cars to dealers worldwide for the first time in a twelve-month period. And part of the celebratory car is the Passat CC.

Volkswagen reported pleasing delivery growth in all of its Asian markets in 2010. Deliveries in China grew 37.4 percent to 1.92 million units, thereby setting a new record.
