Association of Proprietors of Football Academies of Nigeria, APFAN, has postponed the election of its Lagos Chapter State Election which was earlier fixed for 29 January
The chairman of Electoral Committee, Saturday Okon, disclosed this to GSG on Tuesday in Lagos State.
He said the elections were postponed so that the candidates will have enough time to campaign, adding that there are other interested candidates who are yet to complete their registration forms.
“The electoral committee which headed by me has decided to postpone the election to February. We want to give every candidate a level playing ground. We still want more club owners to show interest because we want to have vibrant association in Lagos,†he said.
National Secretary General of association, Micheal Etim, said all the registered members and national executives are eligible to vote during the elections.
He charged all the candidates to shun campaign of calumny and focus more on the progress of the association.
“Some candidates who are vying for positions in the association have started campaigning. I want all the candidates to follow the electoral guidelines. Any candidate that go against the rules will be disqualified.
