Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer Ike Shorunmu has been identified as one of those responsible for the steady progress of Warri Wolves goalie, Chigozie Agbim.

Agbim has been working at close quarters with Shorunmu following his invitation to the Super Eagles ahead of next month’s Barrack Obama invitational tournament in the USA.

The young keeper was given some time off (along with other invitees) to play for his club in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) at the weekend and he did not disappoint.

A goal keeping masterpiece over 90 minutes frustrated the champions, Enyimba at their fortress in Aba and the selectors of the weekly NPL awards were suitably impressed to subsequently hand the gloves to Agbim.
