The inhabitants of Pacific Estate, Phase 1, Ewedogbon, Akesan, in Igando/Ikotun Local Council Development area, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, have appealed to the state government to come to their aid in the area of infrastructure.

Representatives of the estate who spoke with P.M.NEWS made the request during a meeting held to thank Governor Babatunde Fashola for the 500 KVA transformer they recently received from the state government.

Chairman of the community, Mr. Adebayo Olayinka, said the residents appreciated the gesture but that the gift is yet to be completed as it has not been connected for the use of the community.

“We are happy that the government responded to our demand but we are appealing that they should also help us to energize it.

“Though at the community level we have been doing the little that we can do to fix the transformer, but due to the economic melt-down, we have to seek Governor Fashola’s assistance in putting the transformer to use,” he pleaded.
