The Chairman of Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area, Hon. Taofeek Abiodun Adaranijo, has shed more light on why he withdrew from the Agege Federal Constituency race.
Speaking with Political Platform, Adaranijo explained that the decision was taken after consultation with leaders of the party and his supporters, adding that despite his withdrawal, he is still a loyal member of the party.
“My withdrawal from the House of Representative race was as a result of consultations held with the leadership of the ACN and as a loyal member of the party, I decided to abide with the decision reached at that level which I believe is in the best interest of our great party.
“Our party, the ACN will continue to wax stronger and stronger and it is set to win landslide in the forthcoming general election in the state and Nigeria in the general elections.
“We are the best in terms of people-oriented programmes and we are committed to the execution of those programmes which focus on all sectors of our lives,â€Â he said.
He expressed appreciation to ACN for giving him the opportunity to serve at the grassroots level, where he has been able to affect the lives of the people of his constituency positively.
“Our great leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the star of our nascent democracy and we have absolute confidence in his leadership in the journey to a society where living will be a lot easier.
“Despite my withdrawal, I’m still committed to the ideas of our great party, to ensure that the policies and programmes of ACN are adhered to,†he said.
