Another Bomb Blast Against Alaibe

Another bomb went off at the Labour Party office in Yenagoa yesterday, shortly after Mr Timi Aliabe was declared the governorship candidate of the party. There was no report casualty.

The blast occurred shortly after the party’s primaries where Alaibe was picked as governorship candidate the party.

The Bayelsa Police Command’s spokesman, Mr. Egweavon Emokpai, confirmed that an improvised explosive device was used for the blast and that the police command is on the trail of the bombers.

Meanwhile, the Labour Party has accused the PDP of being the masterminds of series of blasts to intimidate the party’s supporters in the state.

Alaibe has vowed that “No matter the number of AK 47, bombs and attacks, that will not deter us from liberating our Bayelsa people from the grip of bad governance and backwardness.”
