The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo has gone to court to challenge his suspension from the party by a high court in Enugu.
An Enugu High Court presided over by Justice Reuben Onuorah, yesterday restrained Nwodo from parading himself as chairman of and member of PDP.
The judge gave the ruling on an application by Mr. Collins Amalu, a stalwart of PDP, praying the court for an order of interim injunction restraining Nwodo from “holding himself out as a member of PDP and or an officer of the party to wit, national chairman.â€
Nwodo quickly challenged the order at an Abuja Federal High Court through his counsel, Chief E. C. Ukala.
Nwodo’s suspension took place barely 24 hours to the party’s presidential primary in Abuja.

Washington, I fail to see what your problem is with the judge. The judge did not file the said action late December 2010, which must have been for accelerated hearing. One of the grounds for urgency was that Nwodo would wreck untold havoc on the primaries if he was allowed to preside over it. Grounds for pursuing their prayers were that Nwodo’s waiver, which was granted in Enugu, was not validly granted and that two, Nwodo was not a proper member of the PDP since he was not re-registered and was not issued a valid identification card as a member of the PDP. In other words, he is not a card carrying member of the said party. What would you do, if you were the judge presiding?
This judge is another Justice Ikpeme of the infamous ABN of 1993. He is an agent of disorder. Why did he not make this judgement before now. Is he a member of PDP? Is he to tell PDP who to make their national chairman?. Has he any moral justification to pass this ruling at this time that the PDP national convention/primaries is midway?. I think it’s high time a body is constituted to check the excesses of some stupid judges who derives pleasure from civil unrest.
