The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo has gone to court to challenge his suspension from the party by a high court in Enugu.
An Enugu High Court presided over by Justice Reuben Onuorah, yesterday restrained Nwodo from parading himself as chairman of and member of PDP.
The judge gave the ruling on an application by Mr. Collins Amalu, a stalwart of PDP, praying the court for an order of interim injunction restraining Nwodo from “holding himself out as a member of PDP and or an officer of the party to wit, national chairman.â€
Nwodo quickly challenged the order at an Abuja Federal High Court through his counsel, Chief E. C. Ukala.
Nwodo’s suspension took place barely 24 hours to the party’s presidential primary in Abuja.
