The Progressive Youth Assosiation of Nigeria, PYAN, has thrown its weight behind President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in the coming presidential election.
The group made it stand known at a press conference in Ado-Odo Ota, Ogun State.
The National Convener of the group, Prophet Ben Odeh declared that PYAN is solidly behind Jonathan and Sambo, as the next president and vice president of Nigeria.
“Even if President Jonathan decided to leave PDP for another party, we are supporting him,†he added.
Prophet Odeh also revealed that the last festive period was the only year Nigeria did not experience fuel scarcity, which means there is a brighter future for Nigerians, if President Goodluck Jonathan and Namadi Sambo are elected.
Also speaking at the conference, Fabian Ezeh, National President of the group, said the emergence of President Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo can turn the country around, adding that the PDP should make available the presidential ticket for the duo.
The group also urged Nigerians to go out and register during the voters’ registration exercise and cast their votes for President Jonathan during the presidential election for a better Nigeria.
