Governor Fayemi Heads ACN Panel To Screen Presidential Aspirants

The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has constituted a seven-member committee to screen the party’s presidential aspirants on Tuesday, Jan. 11th 2011, starting at noon in Abuja, in accordance with its determination to provide a level playing ground for all aspirants.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the Presidential Screening Committee would be chaired by the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, while Dr. Muiz Banire will act as Secretary to the committee.

Others members include: Prof Ibrahim Na-Iya Sada, Prof Yakubu Muktar, Dr Chudi Nwike, Pastor Osagie Iyamu & the party’s spokesperson Alh. Lai Mohammed.

”All aspirants must come with not more than one other person, and not a crowd, to the ACN National Headquarters, which will serve as the venue of the screening exercise,” ACN said.

Among the aspirants are the former anti-corruption czar, Nuhu Ribadu and the former governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa
