Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has directed the contractor handling the flyover project at Mile 4, Rumueme, Port Harcourt to ensure the delivery of the project in March this year.
Governor Amaechi gave the directive today during an unscheduled inspection of some projects in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
The governor said the delay in the completion of the flyover was hampering free flow of traffic in the area and urged the contractor to expedite action to beat the deadline.
The State Chief Executive, who also inspected the model primary school at Ozoba, drove to Ogbogoro where he ordered that a sand field in the community be short down and directed the proprietress to produce the permit authorizing her to carry out the business there.
Governor Amaechi later attended the wedding ceremony of Mr Chidi Ukpai, son of Rev. Uma Ukpai and former Miss Nkechinyere Lucy Awa at the Royal House of Grace International Church, Port Harcourt.
