Mercedes Benz To Showcase New C And E-Class

Mercedes-Benz in collaboration with Weststar Associates has disclosed that preparations have reached advanced stage to unveil in Nigeria new Mercedes-Benz E-Class and C-Class in the first quarter of 2011.

Speaking at an interactive forum, the Managing Director of Weststar Associates, representatives of Mercedes Benz, Mr Mirko Plath,  said the new CLS would be officially launched in the Nigerian market before the end of March 2011, adding that Nigerians should look out for the new look A and B Class. He also revealed that the 4X4 segment would also experience some new development before the end of 2011.

According to him, E-Class, C-Class and others have been very successful in Nigeria, adding that structures are already in place to make the two products and others improve on their performance.

Conducting  journalists round Mercedes-Benz ultra modern facility along Lekki Expressway, Mr Plath  pledged that the company would continue to make positive impact in Nigeria, adding that the new facility would ensure that first class service is available at the doorsteps of every owner and potential owner of Mercedes-Benz product.

Plath said part of the company’s plan is also to bring in more trucks in 2011, adding that people who look out for quality and durability still prefer the Mercedes- Benz brand.

According to him, truck is a very important segment in this part of the World, “Truck is very important segment in Nigeria, we are not unaware of the availability of some brands of trucks from Asian countries which are cheaper when compared to Mercedes, but though customers want affordable trucks they also want trucks that would be on the road on a daily basis. You can only trust Mercedes to deliver in such situation,” Plath said.
