The Ogun State High Court sitting in Ijebu Igbo has declared the suspension of the Ijebu North Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Tele Ogunjobi as illegal,  null and void.

Governor Gbenga Daniel suspended Ogunjobi on 29 December, 2008, following a fallout of the lingering factional crisis among members of the Peoples Democratic  Party, PDP, in the local government.

P.M.NEWS gathered that Ogunjobi was suspended after an attack on his entourage at the party secretariat in Abeokuta, allegedly engineered by Segun Adekoya, a  commissioner in the state in 2008.

“Today’s judgment has rekindled the hope of the good people of Ijebu North Local Government in the judiciary. The judgment reaffirms that my administration  was wrongly suspended as a result of executive recklessness,” Ogunjobi told journalists after the judgment.

“I appreciate the judiciary for this landmark and monumental judgment. At last the pains of the past memories have been relieved,” Ogunjobi added.
