NFF Appoints Shorunmu To Assist Siasia

The Annual General Meeting, AGM of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF ended this evening with the body approving the sum of N6.8 billion budget for its programmes and activities for the new Year.

The Alhaji Maigari-led NFF equally approved the audited account of the year 2009-10.

The AGM also ordered elections into the national amateur and women’s leagues to be conducted by the NFF electoral committee by 28 January, 2011 and ‘the delegates to the elections shall be club owners/administrators, who shall have a vote each.’

The congress also appealed to “all members of the football family having any football matter pending in ordinary courts to withdraw them ‘for the good of the game.’

Meanwhile, the NFF says Super Eagles Chief Coach, Samson Siasia will now work with Salisu Yusuf and Ike Shorounmu as his assistants.

The body announced the appointment of Yusuf and Shorounmu as Siasia’s second assistant coach and goalkeeper’s trainer respectively after its today’s congress in Uyo.

The board also formally named the appointment of Dutch, Simon Kalika as Eagles first assistant coach.
