The former Lagos State governor of Music Advertisers Association of Nigeria, MAAN, and General Secretary of Association of Grammaphone Records Distributors, AGRED, Alhaji Adewale Babalola, a.k.a Babs, has said the demise of Fuji music icon, Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, will create a big vacuum in the music industry that will be very difficult to fill.
Alhaji Babalola stated that all the songs of the late Fuji icon are philosophical and full of wisdom, thus making him a versatile and all time musician.
Babalola said that all his albums are evergreen but his teeming fans will miss him physically.
“Alhaji Barrister was one of the philosophers of our time, whose immense contributions to the music industry in Nigeria, especially fuji music, can not be under estimated.
Also, a veteran broadcaster and ewi exponent, Chief Olatubosun Oladapo, has also described Alhaji Agba as a great Nigerian who used his talents to impact good virtues on every Nigerian.
He made this statement on Wednesday, 22, December, 2010 during his weekly programme, Pabambari on Radio Lagos, 107.5 FM. He dedicated 30 minutes of the programme to the memory of the late Mr. Fuji by playing his songs.
