Yusuf Bolaji, an indigene of Lagos Island, has signified his intention to represent Lagos Island Constituency 02 at the Lagos Assembly.
The Political Science graduate political was the youngest state delegate to the National Republican Convention, NRC, 1991-1992. He was also former Councillor Ward 3, 1995-1996 and candidate for Lagos State House of Assembly on the platform of APP, 1999. Lagos Island Coordinator, Willco, Local Government Technical Facilator 2007 General Election, AC and presently a staunch member of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.
He was one time Market Master, Old Ojo Local Government; Supervisory Councillor for Education Lagos Island Local Government, 1995-1996, Supervisory Councillor for Agric, Lagos Island Local Government, 1995-1996 and Chairman, Bursary Award Committee, Lagos Island Local Government.
He said his vision is to help build Lagos State to a point where social economic and political justice can be guaranteed.
“My mission statement is to provide sound legislative service necessary to achieve high quality of life for our present generation and generation yet unborn irrespective of sex, religion and political leaning.
“Lagos Island means different thing to different people. I want to represent Lagos Island Constituency 02 in order to pay back to the community what I have enjoyed from them. I want to do this on the platform of ACN because that party has demonstrated that it knows what governance is all about, considering what Asiwaju Bola Ahmed did during his eight years tenure and what Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola is currently doing in the state,” he stated.
