Glo-CAF Awards: Falcons Fly Nigerian Flag In Cairo

As a delegation of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, led by the President, Aminu  Maigari is set to hit Cairo, Egypt for the Glo-CAF African Footballer of the Year  awards slated for Monday, 20 December, the trio Perpetua Nkwocha, Ebere Orji and  Stella Mbachu are the three Super Falcons players in contention for the category  dominated by Nigeria.

The Nigerian girls, who would fly the country’s flag in Cairo were nominated for the  African Women Footballer of the Year Award.  The Falcons and the U-20 Falconets are  also jostling for the Women National Team of the Year with Equatorial Guinea.

Globacom, the official sponsor of the Glo-CAF Awards ceremony said it extended  invitations to Maigari and Davidson Owumi, the Chairman of the Nigeria Premier  League Board to support the nation’s nominees.
