The National president of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, RTEAN, Dr. Femi Ajewole has denied that the All Nigerian Autobike Commercial Owners and Workers Association, ANACOWA, led by Udoh is affiliated to his association.
Speaking with newsmen at the state office of RTEAN, Ajewole said “the only ANACOWA recognised by the Lagos State government, certified and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, and affiliated to RTEAN is ANACOWA, Motorcycle Owners Riders Association led by Comrade Ade Ikuesan.
“They have our support and are our affliates,” he added.
The chairman, Caretaker Committee of RTEAN, Chief Delta Faith Okpokulu also affirmed that any other operators or person operating outside ANACOWA Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association should be seen as impostors.
On what becomes the fate of the faction led by Udoh, Okepokulu said “they are on their own as the umbrella body had never recognized their activities which he classified as illegal. warning that if they refused to desist from parading themselves as a body that is representing the interest of the commercial motorcycle riders they will made to face the wrath of the law.
He charged members across the state to adhere strictly to safety regulations as envisaged by the state governments.
