The finals of the fifth edition of Lagos State Inter-Agency Football Competition, tagged HOS Cup will hold today at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos State.
The finals will be played in both male and female categories. In the female category, Office of the Chief of Staff will play against the State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, while the Ministry of Transportation play against Health Service Commission in the male category.
To qualify for the finals in the female category, the State Universal Basic Education Board, defeated the Ministry of Science and Technology 3-0, while the Office of the Chief of Staff qualified at the expense of the Ministry of Transportation.
In the male category, the Health Service Commission edged out the Ministry of Health 4-3 in the semi-final via penalty shootout after 1-1 draw at full time. The Ministry of Transportation, however, qualified having staged a walk-over against the State Treasury Office.
Previous winners of the competition in the male category include the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Social Development (2006), Ministry of Information and Strategy (2007), Lagos Television (2008) and Lagos State Judiciary (2009).
