Participants at the Gulder Ultimate Search 7 which took place in Omo tropical rain forest in J4 Ogun State has embarked on a road show.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS at the on-going Roadshow on behalf of the Nigeria Breweries, popular Nollywood artiste Mr Bo-Manuel Udokwu, the anchor of the Gulder Ultimate Search show since 2007, said “the Gulder Ultimate Search 7 2010 which took place in Omo tropical rainforest J4 in Ogun State involved twelve contestants (Six boys and six girls) which is different from the traditional ten and this was done because the Gulder brand this year, celebrates 40 years of existence,â€Â Udokwu added.
Bob also spoke on the impact of the challenge on the contestants. He said being part of the GUS is a great thing for any Nigerian youth as it opens doors of opportunity to make their lives better and also give them reasons to succeed in whatever they do.
“Now we are taking the contestants on a roadshow which enables them meet their fans on whom they have impacted during the GUS7 and also to pay courtesy visit to the governors of each state they visit and also go to radio stations to air their gratitude to fans, well wishers and also to talk about what moves they would make next in heir lives after the GUS7 experience.
Last year, governor Mimiko of Ondo State gave his subject scholarship and also made him a youth ambassador to the state. Enugu and Rivers States have also done similar things in the past. He explained.
Ogun and Ekiti state Governors, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and Governor Kayode Fayemi described the contestants as future leaders in Nigeria who will do the nation proud.
GUS7 winner (The Ultimate Hero) Oluremi Oyekunle from Ekiti State and a 300 level student of University of Ibadan studying wildlife and Caroline Ukachi Mbanu 22 Imo State, a 400 level student of University of Benin studying Philosophy also spoke with P.M.NEWS on their experience in Omo Forest in Ogun State and also talked about their next move from the GUS7.
