The third edition of U-14 Grassroots Squash Tournament will hold from 16 to 18Â December at the Squash Court, Rowe Park, Yaba, Lagos.
P.M.Sport learnt that about 60 players are expected to take part in the three-day event sponsored by Lagos State Government.
Chairman Lagos State Squash Association, Chief Edward Omotesho, told PM Sports that the event is organised to develop the game of Squash at the grassroots so as to encourage youngsters to show interest in the game.
“We want to catch them at the tender age so that they will become professional in the game by the time they become adult,†he said
Omotesho also thanked the Lagos State Government for sponsoring the tournament.
Secretary of the Association, Abimbola Omole, also charged the young lads to use the tournament to interact with one another and avoid any social vices that can tarnish the image of the tournament
