The 2010 edition of the Nollywood Outstanding Personality Awards (NOPA), will hold tomorrow, 4 December, at White House Hotels and Conference Centre, Ikeja.
In a release issued by Success Ella James, PRO of NOPA, preparations for this year’s event initiated by Stanword Media Group in 2007 and hosted in collaboration with the Association of Movie Journalists, is at its peak with all hands on deck to celebrate deserving personalities come this Saturday.
According to James, NOPA 2010 will be compeered by star actress, Steph-Nora Okere, Uche Oduputa and Metro FM presenter, Moses Humphrey, while reputable awardees from vital sectors of the industry will be honoured for their outstanding contributions to the existence, growth and sustenance of the motion picture industry christened Nollywood.
The CEO of NOPA, Stanley U. Okoronkwo, was quoted as saying that nominations were carried out with strict objectivity by the award committee and that NOPA cuts across different strata of the industry without ethnic, religious and sentimental consideration.
Information has it that there is a strong jostle for invitation by top stars to grace the event, which the organisers stated will be more grand and exciting.
