Octogenarian and Action Congress of Nigeria Chieftain in Alimosho Local Government area of Lagos State, Alhaji Abudu Rasak Oyekan Keye has applauded the judgement of the Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan which declared Engr. Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola the duly elected governor of Osun State in the April 2007 election.
Speaking with pressmen at the venue of the inauguration in Osun State, the Aare Musulumi of Shashaland described Aregbesola’s victory as the triumph of truth over falsehood.
He said in a statement that the judiciary has done the nation proud by enlisting on the side of democracy and rule of law.
According to him, Aregbesola has successfully walked down a narrow path of justice.
“Almighty Allah has many attributes, he is Allah of justice. He has shown one of his attributes, just as he did in Ekiti and Edo states where he proved to Nigerians that justice could never be stood on its head,” he said.
He praised Almighty Allah for not disappointing the new governor’s well-wishers after series of special prayers organised specially for Aregbesola at Keye Oyekan Memorial Mosque to ensure victory at the Court of Appeal.
While thanking the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Raji Fashola and members of Action Congress of Nigeria for their support and cooperation during the legal battle.
