The five-week long Adopt-A-Talent Sports camping programme will go on recess in December.

The six coaches in the camp and all the athletes would go on recess to enable those who are going to write their examinations the chance to study before sitting for their exams.

It would be recalled that over 140 athletes, drawn from six approved sports by the Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola, for Adopt-A-Talent Sports Programme, have been in open camp since early October in three different sites, with the University of Lagos having the larger chunk of the athletes.

While renowed  boxing coach, Joe Mensah is busy dishing out instructions to his young pugilists at Jalisco Stadium, Oshodi, the pair of Wole Orukotan and Olasumbo Dele are drilling the ping-pongers at the Table Tennis Hall inside the Rowe Park Sports Centre, Yaba.

At the University of Lagos, Athletics, Basketball, Football and Volleyball are being supervised by Coaches Uruemu Adu, Ganiyu Otenigbagbe, Taju Disu and Suraju Onatuga respectively.

The Camp would be reconvened in the first week of January, 2011.
