Head coach of Kaduna United, Maurice Cooreman, appears to have deflected the hype away from his team’s unbeaten run ahead of their clash this weekend against Heartland.

Cooreman has cooked up a good line by branding their Owerri-based opponents as one of the strongest sides in the Premier League.

The 67-year-old gaffer of Kaduna United explained that his side are working hard for the trip to Owerri that would see his team face Heartland on Sunday in a Week 4 game at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.

Cooreman, who has handled Bendel Insurance, Ocean Boys, Lobi Stars, Gabros International, NPA (now Warri Wolves) and Enyimba in the past, also has an eye on edging the Naze Millionaires for all points in spite of rating them highly.

“Heartland are one of the strongest football teams we have in this country. We are training hard to make sure that we not only play well when we visit them this weekend, but we want to come back home with the maximum points,” Cooreman said.

The trip of the Belgian coach’s side has also been boosted with the return of Sani Aruwa to training after sitting out two games due to a thigh injury.

Kaduna United go into this weekend’s tie occupying the seventh place with five points from three games and are currently two points behind leaders, Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC.
