O'jez Hosts Akande

In recognition of his professionalism in over a decade of active journalism, O’jez  Entertainment Centre, organisers of the last Sunday of the month Elders’ Forum, will  on Sunday, 28 November, celebrate foremost entertainment writer, Victor Akande, as  he turns 40 years.

Scheduled to hold at 6 p.m., the forum that had played host to the likes of Prof.  Wole Soyinka, Prof. Osofisan, Toyin Subair, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Opa Williams and  presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, among others, promises to be most exciting as it  is the first time in a long while, that O’jez is hosting a member of the fourth  estate of the realm.

It had in the past hosted Debo Adesina, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of The Guardian.  Akande is Entertainment Editor of one of the fastest growing newspapers, The Nation.

He has authored two books in commemoration of his 40th birthday anniversary.

Chief Joseph Odobeatu, Chief Executive Officer, O’jez, in a statement, said it is a  great honour for the celebrity outfit to play host to a distinguished personality  like Akande.

“O’jez Celebrity Restaurant is home to all the stars in Nigeria, if you are a star  and you have not had dinner or lunch at O’jez, then you are not a star and no one  can be a star without the support of the media,” he enthused.
