Prince Ahmed Oseni of Iba in Iba Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, has  alleged that a member of the state House of Assembly has threatened his life.

In a petition to the state Commissioner of Police through his lawyer, Adetunji  Orisalade, Oseni alleged that on 13 October, 2010, he visited his friend, Abdurhaman  Saka, a worker at the Environmental Department of Iba LCDA, at his Kemberi,  Okokomaiko residence.

The petition added that the lawmaker and of some of his allies arrived the area in a  car and when they alighted, accused Prince Oseni of not paying homage to them as  members of the House of Assembly.

But when Oseni replied that he did not know them as he was not a politician, he was  assaulted by the lawmaker and his group, during which his clothes were torn.

The petition also alleged that sympathetic residents of the area reported the matter  at the police station, but the matter, according to him, was not handled to his  satisfaction.

Orisalade claimed that Oseni’s life was further threatened because after the  incident was reported to the police, the lawmaker and his group still boasted to  deal with his client through their positions.

Oseni’s counsel therefore urged the Commissioner of Police to use his good offices  to protect his client’s life and ensure that justice was done in the matter.

Copies of the petition were sent to the Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, the  Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Iba LCDA Chairman, Area  Commander, Area ‘E’ Police Command, FESTAC Town and the Chairman, Lagos State Action  Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
