Nigeria’s Super Falcons are ready for the tomorrow’s African Women Championship, AWC  semi final cracker against the Lionesses of Cameroon in South Africa.

Nigeria’s head to head record against Cameroon in the AWC is awesome with four  victories and two draws in six confrontations.

The Falcons have hit 22 goals against the Lionesses, against the miserly three goals  conceded in the six games.

The Falcons have been in sizzling form in South Africa so far with sexy, ruthless  and effective football which has left their opponents in embarrassment.

The Nigerian ladies have scored ten goals in three games and conceded just once. A  win against Cameroon will not only guarantee a final ticket, but qualify the country  for next year’s FIFA Women World Cup in Germany.

But this won’t come on a platter of gold, as the former Super Eagles’ coach,   Adegboye Onigbinde has added his voice to the growing list of apprehensive Nigerians  over the semifinal clash.

Onigbinde, who commended the Falcons for their flawless run in the biennial football  show piece told SuperSport.com that it will be too risky for Nigerian campaigners to  lower their guard for ambitious Cameroonians.

“It will be suicidal for Falcons to underrate the Camerounians; women football has  come of age in Africa and every country wants to be winner, so Falcons will be in  for a rude shock if they underrate them.

“AWC is football in its totality, Falcons have done very well winning all their  matches so far,. But, I will advice them to maintain their winning streak, keep to  their cool-headedness and see every opponent as a foe.”

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Committee member expressed  confidence in the five-time African champions to qualify for the World Cup as well  as re-claim the title they lost to Equatorial Guinea two years ago.

“I have not changed nor intend to change nationality, every Nigerian expects them to  lift the trophy and that is my sincerest expectation, qualify for the World Cup and  win the trophy,” he said.
